Privacy Policy

LinkBox keeps saved links on your device by default.

Effective date: May 19, 2026. LinkBox is designed as a local-first link organizer for iPhone. Its default behavior is to keep link records, tags, notes, and visibility controls on-device rather than upload them to Acorn2 servers.

Privacy Principles

The policy follows the same calm, local-first product model

LinkBox is built to help you save and organize links without turning your library into a cloud account by default. The summary below highlights the most important boundaries first.

1. Stored Locally

Your library stays on-device by default

Saved links, tags, notes, privacy flags, and organization state are designed to remain in local storage unless a future feature clearly says otherwise.

2. Network Only When Needed

Requests relate to the links you choose

LinkBox may contact saved websites to fetch metadata, icons, or availability results, and may reach preset sites for environment checks when you trigger that feature.

3. No Broad Permissions

No contacts, photos, camera, or microphone access

The current version does not request sensitive system permissions unrelated to link saving and organization.

English

LinkBox Privacy Policy

  1. What LinkBox does

LinkBox helps users save web links from the iOS share sheet and manage them later with tags, notes, search, cleanup workflows, link checks, privacy mode, and browser-open options.

  2. Information you choose to save

Depending on how you use the app, LinkBox may store the URL, imported title, domain, tags, notes, save time, open history, link-check result, privacy sensitivity flag, and locally cached site icon or thumbnail associated with a saved record.

  3. Local-first storage

In the current version, saved links and related organization data are stored on-device by default using local app storage. LinkBox also uses an iOS App Group container so the main app and the Share Extension can access the same local data set.

  4. No account system by default

The current version does not require a user account, and does not upload your saved link library, tags, notes, or browse organization history to an Acorn2 backend by default.

  5. Share Extension behavior

When you explicitly choose LinkBox from the iOS share sheet, the Share Extension may receive a shared URL or plain text that contains a URL. This is used only to create or update a local record in LinkBox.

  6. Network requests for metadata and checks

To enrich saved links or test availability, LinkBox may directly request the target URL, favicon path, or page content from the websites you save. When you use environment check features, LinkBox may also connect to preset sites such as Baidu, Google, and YouTube to distinguish broken links from network restrictions. These requests are made by the app itself and are not used to upload your whole library to Acorn2 servers.

  7. Privacy mode and sensitive records

LinkBox lets users mark tags or records as sensitive and hide them in Privacy Mode across Home, Tags, Organize, and Search. This visibility control happens on-device and is intended to reduce casual exposure in public settings.

  8. Purchases

LinkBox Pro is offered as a one-time App Store purchase. Payment processing is handled by Apple. LinkBox may receive product, transaction, and entitlement status information needed to unlock features, but does not receive your full payment card details.

  9. What LinkBox does not request

The current version does not request access to Contacts, Photos, Camera, Microphone, Location, Calendar, or system call history. It also does not use third-party ad SDKs or cross-app tracking in the current implementation.

  10. Your control

You can edit or delete saved links, tags, and notes in the app at any time. If you remove records from LinkBox, the corresponding local records are removed from the device storage used by the app.
